Accepting Relieves Stress
February 8, 2023

To err is human. We all have limitations, and sometimes mistakes happen.
Under normal circumstances, when mistakes happen, we look to correct our errors, learn from them and move on. We look to overcome our weaknesses and limitations to whatever extent we can.
But it is also true that we often let our ego come to the fore and don’t accept our mistakes or limitations. Instead, we argue, try to defend, and justify our situation. And when we do this, stress builds up inside us. We end up feeling negative and having a sense of running against the tide.
Paradoxically, when you accept a mistake, you feel lighter because you no longer operate from a position of trying to defend yourself.
Accepting relieves us of our stress and helps us focus on correction and improvement.
