Our excuses are rarely what they appear to be.
I know this because I made plenty of them in my younger days. Not enough time. Not enough support. Not the right connections. Not enough knowledge. Each one felt completely legitimate in the moment.
They weren’t excuses. They were fear in a clever disguise.
The real bottleneck was never any of those things. It was courage. The courage to start without knowing how it ends. To put yourself out there without a safety net.
There was always a small step I could have taken. It didn’t need more time or support, or the right people. It didn’t need perfect conditions.
It just needed me to have the guts to take it.
The excuses were convincing. But they were never the real problem.
