Ever had that uneasy feeling after agreeing on something, and then the other person immediately says, “Let’s put it in writing”?
You walk away thinking- not about the deal- but about the doubt.
I feel the same in business. If I sense I need a contract just to feel safe, I’d rather not engage.
The best relationships, personal or professional, are built on trust, not fine print. A contract should formalize clarity, not compensate for lack of it.
When two people or parties are aligned in intent, they don’t really need pages of protection. And if they are not aligned and don’t trust each other, no contract will really help.
