Over-Communicate
August 27, 2026
Something I keep telling my teammates: communicate more than you think you need to.
If you do not have the answer yet, say so.
If there is bad news, share it early.
If something is taking longer, explain why.
Because when there is silence, people do not stop thinking. They start filling in the blanks.
And the story they create is often worse than the reality.
A short update may not solve the problem, but it removes uncertainty and preserves trust.
You do not always need to have the answer.
But you should not leave people guessing about what is happening.
