You Have Enough
September 26, 2020
It’s become a habit for many to keep thinking about what we lack in our life. We keep thinking we don’t have enough.
- I don’t have many friends.
- I don’t have financial security. I need to have more.
- I don’t have the smarts.
- I don’t have the right opportunities.
- I don’t have a godfather.
If only we can make a simple mental shift.
Find something to be grateful for.
You woke up alive- Be grateful. Many who were active and good yesterday are no more there today.
You have a family- Be grateful. Someone, somewhere around us is longing for a family that is not there.
You have a job, and you are doing some good work- Be grateful. Many had a job yesterday and today find themselves with no job to go to today.
How one feels has nothing to do with how much one has or what one has.
One may be materially well off. But without the ability to feel a sense of gratitude for what is there, one will always feel poor.
Independent of what one has or how much one has, with gratitude, one will always feel rich.
Gratitude turns what we have into more than enough.
