Think From A Higher Level

This is something I tell many teammates to help them make better decisions, especially when they are unsure.

Imagine being one level higher up in the hierarchy and ask yourself, ” If I were in my boss’ shoes right now, what would my decision be?”

When struggling with choices and decisions, try to look at them as if you were one level up in the hierarchy. Your perspective will shift in a big way. The limitations of your own self-interest will no longer constrain your thinking. You will know what the right call will be.
