Being Busy Vs Being Productive

productive

Do you ever feel guilty when you are not productive?

If yes, then you are struggling with what is commonly referred to as productivity guilt, which is a mindset of feeling bad when you are not doing something, creating, achieving, producing, or working hard.

In those moments, you end up having an intrusive inner voice that tells you- “you have wasted your time, or you will fail because you are not doing enough, or you are not good enough, etc.”

If you often struggle with this mindset, it is helpful to remember there is a difference between being ‘busy’ and productive. Everyone busy is not productive. Therefore, focus on what value you create rather than how much work you do. Results matter more than effort.

Whenever you take it easy or take a break- it’s not being ‘lazy.’ The people around you may want to make you feel that way. Ignore them. Don’t compare yourself to others. You are on your own unique journey. Follow your own path, focusing on delivering value and generating results.
