A farmer lived in a village where rains determined everything. During the dry months, when the soil cracked and refused to yield, many farmers sat idle, lamenting their bad fortune. But not this farmer.
Instead, he spent his days mending broken tools, sharpening blades, and learning about new seeds and farming methods from travelers. He even cleared stones from his fields and strengthened the walls of his shed.
“Why waste your energy now? The rains are months away,” his neighbors mocked.
The farmer simply smiled and kept working.
When the rains finally arrived, his tools were ready, his fields were cleared, and his knowledge was sharper. While others scrambled to prepare, he planted his crops early and harvested the best yields that year.
