Weekend Story- The Deeper Well

Two neighbors dug wells in drought-stricken land. Liam struck water at ten feet and mocked Elias, who kept digging deeper—until his arms shook and his coins ran out. 

“Fool!” Liam said. “I’ve been drinking for weeks!” 

But when summer came, Liam’s well ran dry. Elias’s, fed by hidden springs, overflowed. 

Villagers gathered as Elias lowered a bucket into the dark. “What’s your secret?” they asked. 

Elias smiled. “You can stop when you find water—or you can continue digging deeper knowing there is a source to access.”
