Helping folks with practical tips to manage themselves better

Average Vs Peak Performers

peak performers

Average performers tend to blame external factors for their errors. The task was too challenging, the market was not ready, the other people were not supportive, the competitor was better, the target was unattainable, etc. In contrast, peak performers take responsibility for their errors. The difference between the average and the peak performers is more than just an attitude or personality. It is also tied to their approach. High achievers set specific goals and strategies for themselves. They think through in great detail exactly how they intend to achieve what they want. So, when something doesn’t work, they can relate the failure to specific aspects of their execution that may have gone off track and make the required adjustments.

Average or peak performance: It’s all down to having the right attitude, operating with accountability, and executing to a plan.
