Show Up As You Are
August 8, 2025
Here’s something I’ve learned over the years.
If you have to keep adjusting who you are—just to fit in, to impress, or to be seen a certain way—you will attract people who like the version you’re pretending to be. And that’s a trap, because those relationships need upkeep you will eventually struggle with.
Now, I show up as I am. No packaging, no filters. I’ve stopped editing myself to be more likable or to make others comfortable. Being nice isn’t the same as being real—and real is what builds trust. Some people walk away—and that’s great. The right ones lean in. They see value, not polish. And those are the only connections worth investing in.
