“I need to learn more before I start.”

That line sounds responsible, but most times it’s just a crutch.

Learning never ends. There will always be more product features to study, more client use cases to master, and more books to read. If you wait until you know everything, you’ll wait forever.

I hear newcomers say, “I’ll start selling once I know the product inside out.” My response: “Start talking to clients now.”

When you dive into their problems, you’ll discover what matters.

Suddenly, product features are no longer bullet points in a manual—they become solutions in your own words.

It’s like swimming. You don’t master swimming by reading the manual on the shore. You learn by getting in the pool, swallowing a little water, and finding your rhythm.

Real learning happens in motion, in pursuit of a problem worth solving. Waiting is just hesitation dressed up as preparation.

So, stop lining up your ducks. Get in the water.
