Focus On The System

Last week, during our global AOP discussions in Bangalore, one thought kept coming back to me.
If you genuinely care about the goal, you will focus on the system.
It is easy to get caught up in ambition. Growth targets, new markets, bigger numbers, stronger outcomes. All of that matters. But goals by themselves do not move. Systems do.
The quality of our reviews, the sharpness of our follow-through, the honesty of our feedback, the rhythm of execution, and the way we solve problems together. These are the things that quietly decide whether ambition becomes reality.
Caring is not just about wanting the result. It is about doing the unglamorous work of building the system that makes the result possible.
You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems
