Keep Laying The Bricks
September 4, 2026
The world is changing quickly, and most of us are trying to change with it.
You are learning something new, building a habit, changing how you work, trying to be calmer, sharper, fitter, whatever you feel is necessary to be better prepared for the future.
And then you look for results.
Why am I not seeing the difference yet?
Real change is difficult to see as it happens.
Most change is built slowly. One decision. One conversation. One new habit. One mistake corrected. One small improvement at a time.
On any particular day, it may feel as though very little has changed.
But look back six months or a year, and the difference can be enormous.
It is like watching a bridge being built. Stand beside it every day and progress feels painfully slow. Watch the time-lapse, and suddenly you see it taking shape.
Maybe that is the patience change requires.
Keep laying the bricks.
The progress becomes visible later.
