A Week In My Journal

Journal

I have a habit of capturing daily events in my journal, and last week was quite a roller coaster of emotional ups and downs.

Day 1 – The week started off with a celebration; we had won a milestone deal. Happy.

Day 2 – Some issues with a client implementation stressed us out. Not so happy.

Day 3 – An important report deadline was looming, and we were all rushing to complete it on time. Tempers were frayed. Irritated.

Day 4 – The client issue was partially resolved, bringing a sense of temporary relief. Relieved and happy.

Day 5 – Nothing significant happened, and the day passed uneventfully. Relaxed and happy.

One of my favourite quotes by Dale Carnegie from his book “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living” is: “It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.”

So true.
