deadline

Without a deadline, an idea remains just that…an idea, nothing more. You can keep improving it, polishing it, protecting it.

The moment you introduce a deadline to an idea, it changes everything.

It forces you to ship. It makes you accept that the work will not be perfect. And because it is not perfect, you are forced to become a little more inventive.

You cut what is unnecessary. You make decisions you were avoiding. You find a way to finish.

You never have enough time. That is the point.

The constraint is not the enemy of good work.

It is the source of it.
