A New Definition Of Hell

A couple of days back, my younger son introduced me to something new.
He and I were discussing life goals, and he started telling me about the many things he wanted to do as he grew up. Like a typical parent, I wanted to test his conviction on some of his goals.
“Why do you want to pursue that goal? How does it add value, etc.?” , I challenged him.
Out of the blue, he said something profound that caught me by surprise.
“Do you know what the definition of hell is?
It is when you die, and you meet the person you could have been.
I don’t want to regret not doing something I feel passionate about. I don’t want to face hell” – he said.
And I was speechless !!
Fear is a powerful motivator. Even if just fear of missing out on what you could have been.
