Personal Responsibility

personal responsibility

It doesn’t matter if you are leading yourself, a project, or a team- You are taking responsibility. If something goes wrong or does not happen as per expectation, it’s your problem. Choosing to lead means being ready for the link between making decisions and dealing with the results.

Conversely, if you are dodging responsibility, you are likely dodging the idea of leadership. Taking responsibility is never part-time. It’s an everyday thing.

If you have aspirations to be a leader, the question you must ask yourself isn’t “Do I want to be a leader?”. The question you must ask yourself must be, “Do I want to be responsible?”
