Paradox Of Big Goals

It’s all okay when we have modest or attainable goals, but when we aspire to achievements that are very ambitious, things tend to get more complicated. Aggressive and overambitious goals tend to stunt the spirit of creativity, innovation, and discovery necessary to attain them because the obsession for achievement above everything else takes over.

It’s paradoxical, but the pursuit of ambition ends up being less attainable when we strictly define it as a big goal to attain. From personal experience, I have discovered that sometimes it might be better to ignore objectives and just commit to doing your best if you are in pursuit of something pathbreaking.

Blue sky achievement is less likely when there is an overhang of some planned goal.
