Impromtu Advice I Shared With My Kids
August 13, 2024
As empty nesters, my wife and I cherish the frequent calls from our kids living in different parts of the world. The conversations sometimes become impromptu life advice sessions(solicited and not !!) whenever they call me to discuss issues they grapple with. Here are some of the nuggets I have found myself sharing recently. Hopefully, they will embrace the ideas.
- If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.
- No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying. I am super proud of the fact that you are taking risks and doing something.
- Don’t think cost, think value- You will be able to make better choices.
- It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company.
- It’s better to know and be disappointed than not to know and keep wondering.
