Opportunities Are Never Easy

Early this week, a young colleague was lamenting how things have gotten tough on the job over the last few months: longer work days, much more stress, and firefighting every other day.
 
I reminded her- Remember, you asked for growth. Now, don’t be surprised when life challenges you.
 
Nothing in life is linear. When you ask for growth, you don’t get growth.
You get opportunities to grow.

And opportunities are never easy to attain. They demand change and sacrifice, and they are hard.
