Weekend Story-The Emperor’s Robe

An emperor once commissioned a tailor to make him the finest robe. The tailor worked for months, using the most expensive fabrics. When the robe was ready, the emperor tried it on and said, “It’s heavy and uncomfortable.”

The tailor replied, “Your Majesty, greatness often comes with discomfort.”

The emperor, reflecting on his life of luxury, said, “Then perhaps greatness is overrated.”

He ordered simpler robes and found joy in comfort.
