Value Your Time
February 28, 2025
If you don’t value your time, don’t expect others to respect it.
Consider busywork. The more you bury yourself in low-value tasks- sitting in unnecessary meetings(to feel important), responding to every message, fine-tuning reports no one reads, or constantly checking notifications- the more it feels like you’re accomplishing something. But real progress comes from the hard, uncomfortable work that moves the needle: deep thinking, strategic decisions, and actions that create impact.
Great work requires long stretches of uninterrupted focus. That means saying no to low-value things and concentrating on the few that matter.
