Don’t Complicate
March 26, 2025
We were stuck in a long sales cycle with a mid-sized bank. My teammates were navigating through multiple POCs and endless follow-ups, but there was no movement.
Then we asked ourselves what’s the problem here? What is the underlying issue that is holding this back?
We cut through the noise and found the answer- no clear internal owner at the client end. Everything else was noise.
My team and I focused on getting the right stakeholder on board, and once we did, the deal closed within a few weeks.
We all picked up an important lesson. When we encounter any roadblock, we tend to complicate things and do more. But breakthroughs usually come from simplifying our approach and concentrating on what truly matters.
Strip it down. Find the real blocker. Solve for that. Everything else is noise-dressed up as work.
