Do You Have A Personal Plan?

Do you have a personal plan written down? A plan to get you to your personal goals?

Workplaces force us to have goals and work plans. However, when it comes to personal goals and plans, we always slack out. Somehow the whole process feels contrived and irrelevant. We think if we do well at our workplace, our personal aspirations will get taken care of automatically. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case. A good life never happens accidentally. It needs to be planned for.

The more time you spend articulating a clear and detailed vision of what you want different aspects of your life to look like, the more likely you will experience the life you desire.

Few things focus our minds as effectively as setting our plans on paper and then sequencing them into monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual, five-year, ten-year goals. The very act of planning heightens your awareness of what is important and what is not. And with better awareness, you make better choices, and when you make better choices, you are sure to experience better results.

As simple as it sounds, unfortunately, most people don’t write down what’s most important to them. I was one of them. I did not have a written down plan for what I wanted to do in my life till about a decade back, and I would always find myself struggling with making good decisions and procrastinating. But ever since I developed a habit of writing down my personal plans, decision-making has become much easier, and more importantly, most of what I desire in my life is coming true.

If you don’t have a personal plan penned down, let this message be a nudge to get you thinking about what you want your life to look like- so that you can give yourself the gift of a personal plan.
