Keep Narrow Focus
July 15, 2022

There is a Portuguese quote that says, “Think of many things. Do one.” This is so true. It is common for us to be working on multiple tasks simultaneously. Our FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) leaves us stressed and juggling multiple competing priorities, and paradoxically our overall productivity goes down.
“If I don’t attend that meeting, people will notice my absence, and someone else attending the meeting will get the visibility.”
“My friend has picked up this new hobby. I would also like to pick it up.”
Working on multiple agendas at the same time is not practical. In trying to do too much, we end up doing very little.
Keeping your focus narrow on one or two goals is ideal when you have many interests demanding your attention.
