Practise Leadership In Everything You Do
October 3, 2023
How you work on tasks, projects, agendas and how you manage execution tells a lot about the kind of person you are. At each step, you have a choice- To practice leadership in everything you do.
- To choose abundance over constraints.
- To see possibilities amidst problems.
- To act rather than preach and tell.
- To solve rather than point out.
- To seek engagement over giving instruction.
- To learn. To teach. To create value and to make a difference.
Leadership calls for exercising these choices even in the most taxing and challenging situations. People often forget the specific details of the task or initiative, but they never forget how you accomplished the work and how they felt working with you on the agenda. This also means each decision, problem, and interaction is an opportunity to think win-win, frame positive experiences, engage people, and make a statement about your work and the person you are.
Ask yourself, what kind of statement am I making with the work I am doing daily? Am I creating positive experiences for my team, clients, and organization? Am I practising leadership in everything I do?
