Small Gestures

small gestures

An old friend reached out to me unexpectedly, figuring out I was in Melbourne, just to say hi and reconnect. It felt good—really good. The thought of meeting him brightened my entire day.

It got me thinking.

If a simple text from a friend saying, “Hey, thinking of you!” can lift your spirits, imagine what it could do for someone else. Be the one who sends that text.

If hearing a heartfelt “thank you” from a colleague after a long day makes you feel valued, think about how much your words could mean to someone else. Be the one who says it.

Note to self: Small gestures often have a ripple effect far bigger than we realize. Be the one who starts them.
