Weekend Story- When Hunger Changes
June 15, 2025
A tiger cub, lost in a storm, was found by a kind house cat who raised him as her own. In the quiet corners of a small home, he chased shadows, curled up in laps, and hunted the occasional rat for fun.
As he grew, his body became tiger-like—strong, sharp—but his world stayed small. He still stalked rats, flinched at noise, and waited for food in a bowl.
One day, a passing leopard paused in disbelief. “Why are you chasing rats?” he asked.
The tiger shrugged. “That’s what we do here.”
The leopard replied, “You weren’t made for rats. Eating them keeps you small. Your hunger should be bigger.”
That night, the tiger lay awake, not hungry for food, but for something more.
The next morning, he ignored the rat. He stepped past the garden, beyond the fence, into the wild he was meant to roam.
