What Not To Do
January 24, 2026
Something I found myself telling a senior colleague last evening, when we were discussing the familiar problem of too many priorities pulling us in too many directions.
Focus is the art of knowing what to ignore.
We often think focus is about effort.
About discipline.
About doing more of the right things.
But most days, the real problem is not what we are not doing.
It’s what we are doing that we shouldn’t be doing at all.
