The Solution Not Tried

There is a fascinating perspective one of my mentors used to share with me during the early stages of my career. Whenever I would go to him with any pressing issue, he would tell me,

“Pramod, every problem has (N+1) solutions where N is the number of solutions you have tried, and 1 is that solution you have not tried or figured out yet.”

This message would always egg me on. It would force me to ask myself, “Have I tried all possible ways to deal with the issue on hand, or is there something I am missing?”

There is always something more one can do when faced with a challenge that looks insurmountable.
