Weekend Story- Adminstrator And The Dog

Adminstrator and the Dog

There was once a small town where a ruthless administrator held a tight grip on all affairs. His power was as vast as his ego, and by his side was a constant companion—a pampered dog, symbolizing his authority. Ever eager to stay in the administrator’s good graces, the townspeople lavished the dog with affection and gifts, hoping to curry favor with the master through his canine confidant.

One day, tragedy struck, and the dog passed away, and the townspeople’s grief was as theatrical as their previous flattery. Elaborate rituals and mournful displays filled the air—a spectacle of feigned sorrow.

However, the actual test of loyalty came a couple of years later when the administrator himself passed away. Very few turned up to mourn his death.

The administrator was gone, and with him, the false adulation of the people disappeared. The respect his dog had received was for the power it represented, not for any genuine affection.
