Future Always Looks Better !!
April 19, 2025
There’s a reason new ideas feel more exciting than current ones.
New doesn’t carry the weight of what’s not working. It doesn’t come with blockers, budget constraints, or unanswered questions. It hasn’t been stress-tested in meetings or dragged through decision cycles.
On the other hand, what’s already on the table needs to be explained. Why it is behind schedule? Why it is harder than expected? Why it still matters. That’s uncomfortable. So, the mind drifts-towards the next big thing that might feel easier.
But most progress isn’t made by jumping to what’s next. It comes from sticking with what’s real—working through the resistance and staying with the hard stuff.
New ideas matter—but they shouldn’t become a distraction from the ones that need finishing.
