Do Less To Do Better
October 17, 2024
“I just blocked your calendar for a catch-up the day after. I think I am lucky because I noticed your calendar was empty in the second half, so I quickly grabbed the slot,” a colleague mentioned to me this evening.
“I don’t like overloading my calendar with meetings. I prefer having a lot of empty spaces,” I replied with a smile. But I meant it.
It’s a simple philosophy.
Narrow the focus. Do fewer things but at a higher standard. Do less, but do better. Any energy spent trying to do too much only distracts from what truly matters.
With the extra time those empty spaces provide, you can elevate the quality of your work from good enough to great.
