Maybe I Don’t
December 5, 2025
The fastest way to block your own growth is to assume you already know.
I see this often in experienced people—and in myself. Experience is useful, but it can also turn into a stubborn filter that edits out anything new.
So I try to treat every topic as if I’m slightly ignorant, slightly wrong, and have something to learn. It keeps me curious, forces me to listen, and opens doors I didn’t know existed. The moment I say “I know this,” learning stops. The moment I say “maybe I don’t,” it starts again.
