Meditation-Noticing Is The Practice

Noticing is the practice

Many people I know think meditation means “sit still and empty your mind.” And they don’t like it.

I share with them a different frame: meditation is just switching off autopilot for micro-moments.

You’re already breathing, walking, eating, scrolling. Meditation is simply catching yourself in the middle of what you are doing and noticing:

“Oh, my jaw is tight.”

“I’m rushing this email.”

“I’m already angry about a meeting that hasn’t happened.”

That tiny moment of noticing is the practice.

Start there. No extra time required. Just fewer moments where you lose yourself in the rush of the day.
