Weekend Story-The Echo Principle
May 21, 2023

A small boy and his father were walking in the mountains. Suddenly, the son fell, hurting himself. He cried out in pain, “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
To his surprise, a voice echoed from the mountain, repeating, “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”
Curious, the boy shouted, “Who are you?” The reply came, “Who are you?” He then yelled to the mountain, “I admire you!” The voice answered, “I admire you!”
The boy was now irritated. He thought that someone was mocking him. In anger, he screamed, “Coward!” and a voice came back, “Coward!” Confused, he looked at his father and asked, “What’s happening, Dad?”
The father smiled and said, “Son, pay attention.” He then shouted, “You are a champion!” The voice replied, “You are a champion!”
The boy was surprised but didn’t quite understand. The father explained, “You see, this is called an echo. It happens when your voice bounces back from the mountain. But here’s something important to remember, my son. Just like your voice has an echo, your actions also have echoes. If you help others, they will help you too. But if you refuse to help, they will refuse to help you. If you show up angry, others will be angry too. But if you stay calm, others will be calm. Life reflects what you give to it. So, if there’s something you want, be the first to do it. Life will echo it back to you.”
