That Small Shift

Hurry kills presence.
Worry kills peace.
Doubt kills faith.
Ego kills love.
Now read that right to left.
Presence kills hurry.
Peace kills worry.
Faith kills doubt.
Love kills ego.
Most days, I live somewhere between these two paragraphs.
One version of me races, overthinks, questions everything, and clings to pride.
The other slows down, breathes, trusts, and chooses love over being right.
My real work is catching myself in the first set of lines and gently shifting into the second, moment by moment. That small shift quietly changes the moment and, eventually, the way I live.
